Tiny holes on the sand - about 1mm in diameter. Ihave only seen them in Ireland and Portugal, never in the Mediterranean ( only on  macrotidal beaches), and only on very fine sand. Very shallow, too, abouy half an inch. Can't understand thei origin, can anybody help?
